Delaney Rae (7yr)
STB mare - 16+ hh. Dark bay. She was not ridden at her previous home. UPDATE (5/25): She is being returned to the program and is currently being retrained to saddle by foster family in Waukegan, IL. Delaney Rae was not a companion horse because of confirmation or lameness - she simply was never retrained until now. Contact ASAP for details pertaining to how the riding is going! $400.
Mississippi's Champagne Elegance (6yr)

"Ellie" is an American Saddlebred. Her owner has this to say about her, "She's chestnut with a stripe and snip down her nose and one white front sock. She's about 15.2 hands, with a nice compact build. Although she is a registered American Saddlebred, she looks more like a fancy Quarter horse. She has excellent motion in both front and hocks. She also sets her head very well. She loves people and will be the first one there at feeding. She's extremely healthy, has great hooves, is a very very easy keeper, has a long winter coat which makes her look more overweight than she is (she could stand to loose about 25 pounds). For the last 4 months (1 to 2 times per week, weather permitting) I and another hired trainer have worked with her on manners, lunging, long-lining (walk, trot and canter) and in the last 5 years I have ridden her 5 times. She needs someone who can give her the time to truly express her potential. Being a saddlebred with excellent gaited bloodlines, she has the ability to learn how to gait (slow gait and rack), however I have not worked on any of this with her. I believe she would make an excellent dressage or show prospect as well or even a barrels prospect. She is responsive to side commands and legs. She is very high energy and requires someone with patience. She's smart, craves attention and loves to learn. During her "PMS" times is when she requires the patience. She is located 4 miles west of Madison and has been there since she was 1 years old. She has been transported once when she came to my farm, she clips and stands for the farrier, has been bathed 3x last summer, has had her wolf teeth pulled this past summer and sides of the molars floated. She needs work with and tries to run from the spray bottle (fly spray). She is current on all her shots and worming, and will have her coggins taken before leaving the farm. I am donating her because I am not able to give her the time that she deserves to be a great horse."
Jackson (2 1/2yr)
Saddlebred gelding. Bay with star and two socks. 16hh. Sound. This friendly horse has been in training three times a week. He leads nicely and has no vices. Has been lunged regularly and has been under saddle several times. Nice confirmation. Located in Wisconsin north of Milwaukee.
Splash (21yr)
Quarter Horse mare. Dun with star. 15.2hh. Very cute, sweet, and patient. This is a fantastic "first" horse for someone. She was once a broodmare but has had years of great training and riding experiences. She was a 4-H horse, but her gait can be choppy. Her current rider is a young girl. No vices. Located in Wisconsin
Tax Day Plus One (3yr)

STB mare. Contact Susan at asapinc@mwt.net for more information. This horse is currently in training with Ray Waters. UPDATE (7/24): Tax Day Plus One is a three year old filly who has retrained to saddle with excellence. The only negative comment the trainer has is that when a person first goes to mount her (the first time on a long ride but not any time after you have been riding any amount of time) she will sidestep as you are getting on. Once on she is willing to do anything... still a little shy to catch with the trainer. UPDATE (11/07): She is only three years old and she is a filly....being a mare and being young, she can be emotional. I guess that means that if you take her pseudo-mother Rocking Standout away from her in the turnout she will run and call and whinny and buck around the arena until Rocking Standout returns. If you pull he out and take her away from Rocking Standout, she kind of does little rebellious kicks while tied to the hitching rail. She is easy to saddle and she is truly beautiful. She loves to just be loved and scratched and if she likes you she lets you do anything. She used to be a little shy about being caught and haltered but now comes right up to me all the time. I spent some time just sitting on her back and combing her mane and scratching her itches the other day. This is good for her, just to have time to bond with someone and she will be an awesome pet. Terry and Katie did take Taxi on two trail rides at county parks and she was a well behaved horse and crossed creeks, etc. with the other horses on the trail. She is not a good lead horse at this point, but she is young. She is about 15 hands tall right now and will grow a tad bit more. She weighs about 950 I suppose (only guessing).
Geri's Halo (6yr)

Ghai Shesaam (23yr)

Sam is a registered Arabian gelding. 14.1hh. Owner reports, "Never been sick or lame a day in his life. He had his teeth floated recently, he's been dewormed, trimmed, has his coggins and 4-way shot. He is a super trail riding horse, will go out by himself or with other horses, loves to lead but will also follow. He is underweight even though he is on hay 24/7. He does gain it back in the winter though." Please call the ASAP office for more details.
R Tru Majority (7yr)

STB gelding - 15hh - bay. Very healthy and sound. Raced as two and three year old but a tendon swelled so they stopped racing him. Owners have raised him since he was a baby. He has been ridden a few times--maybe not what you would say broke--but you can get on his back. He gets along well with others in the herd. Will come when called and follow you around. He has been a family pet. Very well cared for. Great ground manners. Up to date on all shots and current Coggins. Very good blood lines. In IL near St. Louis. UPDATE (10/20): Now at the ASAP farm!
Cleo & Roscoe

Cleo
Miniature horses. Previous owner says, "They are both very sweet. They are halter broke and I believe stand under the 34 inches. Roscoe is 3 and Cleo (his mom) is older. We are unsure of her age. We rescued her from neglect. She was pregnant and in pretty bad shape. Her halter had actually grown into her face. She has no signs of neglect now and is very affectionate." Located in Bloomington, IL. UPDATE (11/23): Now at the ASAP farm! These two are MUCH cuter than their pictures, if you can believe that. Cleo is a real sweetie and Roscoe has a playful streak. They won't last long!

Roscoe
Liberty (5yr)

POA/Appaloosa cross - gelding - white background with spots and a watch eye! Liberty has had professional training under saddle and passed with good marks. His owner's daughter has not ridden this year - he needs a home where he can be shown, gamed, trail ridden, and loved. He is 100% sound - an easy keeper - mellow attitude - kids jumped on him bareback this summer. Will be at ASAP farm October 15 after issuance of interstate health certificate. If you are in Iowa and are approved to adopt, call to see him before he comes to ASAP. UPDATE (11/07): Now at the ASAP farm!
